Membership

  There are British Business Groups (BBG) in various cities in India, providing a forum for the business community, British and Indian, who share the desire to promote Indo-British commercial ties, to meet, discuss, and network.

  The BBG in Pune was set up in 2006 with the support of the British High Commission and some dedicated committee members.  We now have over 120 member companies and  the number is growing.

  BBG Pune organises events (First Tuesday cocktails, business luncheons/dinners, round table discussions, seminars, happy hours) where prominent British and Indian guest speakers inform participants about current issues and share experiences.  It is also an opportunity to establish business contacts, discuss matters of mutual interests and to generally network. With a number of UK companies visiting Pune with trade delegations, the BBG is the ideal forum for your company to meet and discuss possible ventures.  This is a senior-level organisation for your top management team to be part of and benefit from. 

There are 3 levels of membership to suit your needs:

Corporate

Corporate membership is open to British companies who have a subsidiary or partner in India and Indian companies who have an interest in Britain and any other companies based in Pune with an interest in Britain.  Membership entitles a member company to nominate three individuals to attend meetings and events, but a corporate member has a single vote in proceedings of the BBG. 
The annual membership fee is Rs 10,000.

Asscoiate/SME

Other individuals or smaller companies with less than 100 employees may be invited to join as associate members.  Two individuals can attend events. 
The annual membership fee is Rs 5,000.

Individual Membership

Additional nominees from corporate members, together with British citizens resident in or frequently visiting India, are eligible to join as individual members.
  The annual membership fee is Rs 5,000.

“Special interest groups” have been set up for CFO, HR, IT and CSR.  There are also a range of member benefits. 

  An added benefit of becoming a member of the BBG in Pune is that your company automatically becomes a reciprocal member of the BBG in Mumbai.  You will be put on their mailing list and will also receive details of events that BBG Mumbai are having.  As a reciprocal member you will be allowed to attend all their events at member prices.
